Finding beauty as darkness
gives way to light.
Atmospheric Paintings of Light and Hope.
Returning to painting later in life became more than a rediscovery of my artistic voice. It became a quiet path toward healing and wholeness—a reminder that creativity can restore what life once interrupted.
Working from my home studio in Abingdon-on-Thames, I paint atmospheric landscapes in oil, acrylic and cold wax, drawn to the way light can break through darkness and transform what we see.
I rarely know exactly where a painting will lead. I build, layer, scrape back and respond, allowing colour, texture and unexpected marks to shape what emerges. Often, it is through this process that I find the light.
My hope is that you find something there too. Perhaps a sense of beauty, stillness or hope, and a painting that continues to reveal something new each time you return to it.
Exhibitions & Recognition
Leilani’s artistic journey has taken her from Sri Lanka, where she held her first solo exhibition at the Lionel Wendt Gallery, to a solo exhibition at Kursana in Celle, Germany.
More recently, she has exhibited across the UK with Oxfordshire Artweeks, West Ox Arts and The Abingdon Artists, where she also served as co-chair for three years. Her work has received further recognition through an invitation to exhibit at Langford Arts Festival and inclusion on the Debra Hart Curated Artists shortlist.
What Collectors Are Saying
“Leilani’s painting immediately drew me in through its colour. The tones feel full of joy, compassion, nurture and space. As someone who works deeply with colour, I see these qualities reflected in the painting—it speaks to everything I understand about it.”

Art is Deeply Personal
Choosing a painting is about more than finding something beautiful for your wall. It is about recognising something that speaks to you, perhaps through its colour, its atmosphere, or simply the feeling it leaves with you.
The right painting becomes part of your home and part of your everyday life, bringing beauty, meaning and a connection that can deepen over time.
Bring Light and Beauty
into Your Space
A painting becomes part of the life around it. You notice it in changing light, catch different colours as you pass, and discover details you may not have seen before.
Choose a painting that means something to you, and it can bring beauty, warmth and a quiet sense of connection to the place you call home.
"I love the colours and the way they blend. The softness and light make the flower feel as though it's gently emerging from the canvas. It captures all 'my' colours."
