Your Guide to Purchasing and Receiving My Artwork
A Simple and Personal Process
I want your experience of purchasing my artwork to feel as thoughtful and special as the piece itself. Whether a painting has spoken to you deeply or you're still deciding, this page will walk you through what to expect — from availability and payment to shipping and delivery.
If you have any questions before purchasing, don’t hesitate to get in touch at leilani@leilanijeevaratnam.com .
Every care has been taken to show the artwork as accurately as possible in terms of size, colour, and medium. However, please note that slight variations may occur due to different browsers, devices, and screen settings. These are not considered faults, and minor inconsistencies are not valid grounds for return.
Purchasing
How is my payment handled?
Payments are securely processed through PayPal or Stripe, in British Pounds Sterling.
You do not need a PayPal account — you can use it to pay with your debit or credit card.
Please note: I do not store or have access to your card details.
Can I purchase with a deposit?
Yes — for original paintings over £500, you are welcome to pay in stages. A 50% deposit will reserve the piece, with the balance payable either the following month or in two monthly payments of 25%.
This is not a credit scheme but a trust-based arrangement at no extra cost to you. Usual shipping and return policies apply.
Please contact me if you'd like to arrange this.
Shipping
UK Shipping
Paintings are packed and shipped within 5 working days. Deliveries within the UK are sent via Royal Mail, Parcel Force, or a courier, depending on size and weight. Most UK orders arrive within 2 days of dispatch.
Please allow up to 7 working days total.
If you need delivery by a specific date, please get in touch before ordering. Rush delivery may incur an additional charge.
International Shipping
Yes, I can ship to most countries. If your location isn’t supported at checkout, a bespoke courier may be needed — please contact me with your location and the artwork you're interested in, and I’ll provide a quote.
Note: Overseas orders may be subject to import duties or taxes, which are the responsibility of the buyer.
Wherever possible, I use recycled materials for packaging. Each piece is carefully wrapped to ensure it arrives safely and beautifully.
What about large or high-value artworks?
I appreciate that this is a significant purchase — and a piece I’ve spent many hours creating. It’s important to ensure it’s transported safely and securely.
Some couriers have limits on dimensions or what they will carry, so certain pieces may require specialist shipping. This will be noted in the shipping details on the individual product listing.
For large or unusually sized artworks, shipping costs need to be quoted individually. Please contact me before purchasing to discuss options.
If you'd prefer to buy online first to secure the painting, the shipping cost will be billed separately after we’ve agreed on a method.
Please note: while I do my best to provide an accurate estimate, actual shipping costs may vary depending on your location, courier availability, and any special handling requirements. I will always confirm and discuss this with you before dispatch.
Returns
What if I don’t love it?
If a painting isn’t as expected, I offer a Buy-Back agreement.
You have 14 days from receipt to email me for a refund. If approved, you are responsible for securely packing and returning the artwork using the same service. Once it’s returned in good condition, I’ll issue your refund within 14 days.
What if the artwork is damaged?
All artwork is carefully packed. If your piece arrives damaged, please contact me within 7 days, including a photograph of the damage.
Can I return an international order?
At this time, I’m unable to offer refunds or returns for orders shipped outside the UK.
