Inner Rising is a textured acrylic painting in turquoise and deep blue, with touches of pink, yellow and white. The colours rise from the darker lower section towards the pale area above.
I did not begin with a fixed image. I added colour and texture gradually, allowing the painting to change as I worked. When it was finished, it made me think of new growth, hope returning and the quiet presence of God.
